Noskecomp is proud to announce a new software package aimed at improving the way Race Teams operate.   This system will be specifically designed to maintain and analyse a race team’s set-up sheets.  Although this system will not create a “paperless” team environment, it will reduce a race team’s dependency on paper-based set-ups.

The system uses a template-based format that allows each team to format their own set-up sheet and make adjustments to that format when the need arises.

Ultimately the aim of the system will be to quantify the performance of a particular set-up.  This will be done via capturing a number of observations throughout the duration that a particular set-up is being used. Each observation will contain the fastest lap time, which lap that was done, tyre temperatures and tyre pressures.

Although these observations will initially be noted down on a pre-printed form and entered into the system later, future versions of the software will be written for Microsoft’s Pocket PC operating system. This means that the user will record observations straight into the system via a Personal Digital Assistant in pit lane.

The user will then be able to graph these observations and compare them with observations from other set-ups, thus being able to make an informed judgement on the best set-up for a situation.
